Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra Overview
ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra - the transition from compactness to versatility
The latest flagship smartphones from the Taiwanese company Asus were a real delight for fans of compact phones. However, if there was no fault with the ergonomics and performance of the devices, there were sometimes problems with other aspects. It is these that we decided to fix in the hero of today’s review. True, the dimensions of the new product have suffered somewhat, but they were once a competitive advantage.
The appearance of the device is impressive. Perhaps the only negative is the beautiful, but still noticeably protruding block of photomodules. The case materials are metal and tempered glass, rather thin display frames around the entire perimeter, stylish colors of the rear panels, which also delight with their original texture. The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel is slightly inferior to the best examples in terms of picture clarity due to the FullHD+ resolution, but it is also more economical in terms of power consumption. A brightness reserve of 2500 nits, a top image refresh rate of 144Hz, a high-quality oleophobic layer and an accurate built-in fingerprint scanner return the screen to its competitiveness.
The technical characteristics are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB/16GB of RAM and the Adreno 750 video accelerator. You won’t have to complain about the power of such a combination; it can simply handle any task. The incredible smoothness of the Android 14 interface will be combined with instant application launch and impeccable gameplay stability in all existing games. Genshin Impact or Fortnite, which are resource-intensive, will not be exceptions to the rule. We set the maximum graphic presets and enjoy the gameplay. The size of the permanent memory can be 256 or 512GB in UFS 4.0 format; expansion with MicroSD cards is not provided. The battery capacity is 5500 mAh, which provides up to 9-10 hours of active screen time. All this is complemented by fast wired charging with a power of 65W and its wireless counterpart at 15W.
The main cameras chosen are a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 module with hybrid stabilization, a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor, which significantly improves the photographic capabilities of the phablet, which are now no worse than those of camera phones. Even evening and night photographs are full of details, you will be pleased with the absence of noise and realistic color reproduction. The stereo sound is loud (up to 95dB in peaks), the bass is clearly audible. Contactless NFC payments are available, there is also moisture protection according to IP68 standards, and a high-quality 32 megapixel selfie camera. Thus, we have before us an exemplary representative of the price category without any obvious shortcomings.
