Xiaomi Redmi K60E Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi K60E Overview
Xiaomi Redmi K60E - using only proven solutions
The Chinese company Xiaomi is not afraid to experiment, but such words do not apply to potential hits in the manufacturer's most famous smartphone lines. Here, the developer uses only those components and design, the success of which is one hundred percent sure. That is why the hero of today's review will not revolutionize the price segment, but will definitely win the attention of several million mobile electronics lovers.
The appearance of the novelty is beautiful, but at the same time it is standard for the border of the middle and higher cost categories. The compact rectangular block of three cameras in the corner of the glass rear panel looks quite attractive, and the various body colors will also please. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side, this variant of its location is optimal in terms of convenience and accuracy of fingerprint recognition. The only pity is that the edging itself is made of plastic, and not tactilely pleasant metal. The bezels of the 6.67-inch AMOLED display are almost invisible, as is the peephole of the 20-megapixel selfie camera. In the output image, there is an emphasis on record-breaking clarity, the resolution is an impressive 3200x1440 pixels, in other respects the picture is also great. A 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of over 1200 nits, and true-to-life color reproduction are the undeniable virtues of an AMOLED panel.
The technical characteristics were the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 processor, 8GB / 12GB of RAM and the Mali G610 MC6 graphics accelerator. The overclocked 8100th chip is still relevant for any resource-intensive games. Genshin Impact, Wreckfest, Fortnite - this is not a complete list of projects that will delight you with a stable frame rate and amazing graphics. At the same time, the chipset involved has a reasonable power consumption and little heat. With a 5500mAh battery, the autonomy of the monoblock reaches 8-9 hours of active screen time. Fast charging at 67W helps to gain battery capacity in just over half an hour. There is no wireless analogue, but this is already the prerogative of full-fledged expensive flagships. Internal storage is limited to 128/256/512GB, it cannot be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The main 48-, 8- and 2-megapixel photomodules are a worthy tool for photo and video shooting thanks to hybrid stabilization, although the Sony IMX598 main sensor is quite old. Its presence has a particularly strong effect on evening photography. There is much less noise in such frames, the detailing of even small objects is preserved. Of course, the reviewed gadget also has stereo sound, the volume and balance of which are not satisfactory. The functionality is increased by NFC contactless payments, an infrared port for controlling household appliances and support for a 5G modem. Unfortunately, the list of pluses will not include moisture protection, FDD-LTE B7 and B20. But I don’t want to criticize such a technologically advanced, well-developed and inexpensive device for the mentioned shortcomings, as well as the temporary absence of a global version.
