Blackview Xplore 6 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview Xplore 6 Overview
Blackview Xplore 6 – a heavy smartphone that's easy to fall in love with
The Chinese company Blackview is known primarily for its low- and mid-range phones, but the manufacturer occasionally ventures into flagship products. While these devices aren't always perfect, they certainly deserve attention thanks to a number of competitive advantages uncharacteristic of their competitors.
The new device's appearance is perhaps its weakest point. While the phablet boasts IP68 water resistance and a highly durable rubberized casing, its impressive dimensions, weighing over 400 grams, and the screen bezels are frankly disappointing. However, they've tried to transform the exterior with a secondary display for displaying the date and notifications, a futuristic textured back panel, and a beautiful triple-camera setup. The nearly 7-inch AMOLED panel impresses with an impressive 3200x1440 resolution, resulting in exceptional image clarity. Smooth content at a 120 Hz refresh rate and realistic color rendition are complemented by a respectable peak brightness of 2000 nits.
Technical specifications include a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ CPU, 18 GB of RAM, and a Mali Immortalis G925 GPU, which is unexpected for a device of this class. Performance approaches three million points in the AnTuTu benchmark, allowing gamers to experience all existing games not only at maximum graphics presets but also at a high and stable frame rate. The device's compact size also facilitates cooling. There's no excessive heating, and throttling is virtually nonexistent. The 12,000 mAh battery guarantees an amazing battery life of 15-20 hours of screen time. The developer also generously included 80W wireless charging, as well as a 100W wired option. The 512GB/1024GB storage is expandable via MicroSD cards.
Photography is handled by three 50-megapixel cameras. The main large sensor, although lacking hybrid image stabilization, handles challenging shooting scenarios. Photos and videos are rich in detail, although noise and blur are sometimes visible. The wide-angle lens and telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom are ideal for high-quality daytime photography, if not for evening photography. Loud stereo speakers, NFC contactless payments, and 5G support make the device one of the most attractive, durable, and functional IP68-certified smartphones.
