Oppo K15 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
OPPO K15 Overview
OPPO K15 – a mid-range phone with a touch of premium
The Chinese company Oppo isn't afraid to experiment, even in the midst of a global economic crisis. This world-renowned manufacturer has attempted to transfer a number of its core competitive advantages from the flagship segment to a more affordable price point. And, arguably, the attempt has been largely successful.
The new device's appearance is very attractive. Firstly, no skimping has been done on the build materials. Tempered glass is combined with a durable metal frame. Despite the active cooling system, the developer has managed to achieve IP68 water resistance. The back panel features a sophisticated texture, a neat, compact camera module, and thin bezels with a built-in fingerprint sensor. The 6.59-inch AMOLED display is truly high-quality. The 2760x1256 pixel resolution delivers stunningly crisp content, while the 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth image display. The 3000 nit brightness guarantees comfortable use of the mobile assistant in direct sunlight. There's virtually no PWM effect, and the oleophobic coating is of high quality.
The device's weak point is its technical specifications. The MediaTek Dimensity 7360 processor, 12GB of RAM, and Mali G615MC2 graphics core are still far from being a high-performance solution. While 650,000 points in AnTuTu are a result that demonstrates the smooth and stable operation of Android 16, the chipset is unlikely to be suitable for gamers. Resource-intensive games like Zenless Zone Zero, Fortnite, or Genshin Impact will run smoothly at low to medium graphics settings. However, there's no throttling whatsoever, for the reasons described earlier. Battery life is nothing short of commendable. An 8000mAh battery guarantees 15+ hours of screen-on time. Unfortunately, there's no wireless charging. However, a wired 80W charger reduces battery life to 60-70 minutes. 256GB of storage is available, and there's no microSD card slot.
Photography options include dual 50MP cameras. The main sensor, with hybrid image stabilization, is the primary choice for evening and nighttime photo shoots. Detail is decent, and noise and blur are not noticeable. The wide-angle lens, while noticeably weaker, is still sufficient for video calls and even artistic daytime photography. The stereo speakers are loud, the sound is immersive, and the bass is noticeable. Other features worth mentioning include NFC contactless payment, 5G support, an infrared port, and a high-quality 50MP selfie camera. The end result is a beautiful, well-balanced device that feels more expensive than its price tag.
