Oppo A7 Pro Max Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Oppo A7 Pro Max Overview
Oppo A7 Pro Max - Battery Life and a Dozen Other Advantages
It's hard to impress today's buyers with mid-range smartphones. Users have become accustomed to the sophisticated design and extensive functionality of these devices. But what if you add outstanding battery life and IP68 water resistance to these qualities? You'd get a device that's compelling in many ways.
The new device's appearance is stunning. Its tempered glass back panel, stylish case colors, unique camera module with a large LED flash, and thin display bezels with an integrated fingerprint scanner are all eye-catching. The developers also didn't skimp on the 6.78-inch AMOLED panel. Impressive image clarity at a 2772x1272 resolution, excellent smoothness at a 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to a respectable 2500 nits are complemented by calibrated color reproduction.
The technical specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 CPU, 8GB/12GB RAM, and an Adreno 629 GPU. This new combination is designed to strike a smart balance between performance and power efficiency. An AnTuTu score of 650,000 points is impressive, offering a smooth and stable Android 16 experience and the ability to seamlessly run a variety of resource-intensive games at low to medium graphics settings. The 10,000 mAh battery delivers approximately 15-20 hours of screen-on time, which is close to the best among competitors. Of course, wireless charging was reserved for full-fledged flagships, and only a 67W wired equivalent was used. However, you won't be stuck near a power outlet for very long. Storage options range from 128GB to 512GB, and there's no microSD card slot.
Photography capabilities are similar to those of many competitors. To keep the cost down, there's no telephoto lens, and the secondary camera is limited to a rather uninspiring 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. However, the main 50-megapixel camera module with hybrid stabilization proved truly useful. Evening photo sessions and those capturing a large number of moving objects will be captured with adequate detail and without excessive noise or blur. Stereo sound is present, but it's noticeably lacking in bass and volume. NFC contactless payment and 5G support only strengthen the device's position in the market. This is a truly good option.
