UMIDIGI C1 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
UMiDIGI C1 Overview
UMiDIGI C1 - low cost problems
Smartphones of the lower cost category are definitely needed by the market, because there is a demand for them. Someone takes such gadgets to children so that later it would not be a pity to throw away a broken device, other people purchase such devices as an additional mobile assistant. However, the hero of today's review received a processor that is too weak for even an unpretentious user to use it comfortably.
The design of the device is quite ready to add to the list of its advantages. A neat dual camera, discreet but stylish body colors with not the thickest display frames are unlikely to cause a flurry of criticism, even if the back panel plastic is frankly cheap, and they simply saved on the fingerprint scanner. The 6.52-inch IPS panel is no problem either. The image is distorted only at large tilt angles of the Android smartphone, the brightness margin is not lower than that of the opponents. Perhaps only modest HD + resolution can upset, with which the picture looks slightly blurry.
But with the technical characteristics, everything is really bad. The MediaTek MT6739 CPU would have been an outdated solution even one and a half to two years ago, and using it today with 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE 8100 video core simply does not make sense. The Android 12 Go interface will disappoint with micro-lags, scrolling web pages and launching even undemanding applications upsets thoughtfulness. It is possible to play with such a chipset in 2D projects or in old 3D titles, but World Of Tanks Blitz does not shine with smoothness with minimal graphic presets. But autonomy did not disappoint thanks to a 5150 mAh battery. Such a battery will give the buyer 10-12 hours of active screen time. But 32GB of ROM is hardly enough to store Whatsapp and Telegram data, you can’t do without MicroSD memory cards.
13 and 2-megapixel cameras are far from the worst sensors in the world, but the photos they take are often full of blur, and noise is sometimes noticeable even during the day. A detailed shot can only be obtained from a tripod or by confidently holding an Android phone in your hands. Fans of stereo sound and NFC contactless payments will have to pass by the device in question. And in general, the gadget will be bypassed by many people due to obvious performance problems that even budget products should not have.
