Vivo X300e Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Vivo X300e Overview
Vivo X300e - Making Technology Even More Accessible
This year, the Chinese company Vivo decided to significantly expand its flagship smartphone lineup. Manufacturers often oversimplify the entry-level models in these series, lacking the vast majority of the advantages of their more expensive counterparts. However, the experienced developer managed to reduce the cost and create a phone that is extremely well-balanced, functional, and attractive.
The new phone's appearance is impeccable. The ergonomic candybar design with rounded corners boasts tempered glass on the back panel, attractive color options, a beautifully designed camera module, and thin bezels all around the display. An in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68 water resistance are also included. The only visible signs of cost-cutting are the side bezels, which are now made of plastic. The 6.59-inch AMOLED panel doesn't suffer from poor image clarity, thanks to its excellent 2800x1260 resolution for a diagonal size. Content is smooth, thanks to the 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness up to 4000 nits, and well-calibrated color reproduction.
The technical specifications include a fresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and an Adreno 829 GPU. This combination is on par with top-end gaming solutions in terms of performance, as evidenced by its score of over three million points in the AnTuTu benchmark. All existing games will run smoothly at maximum graphics settings, with frame rates exceeding 90-100 frames per second in 99% of cases. The chipset is prone to throttling, but its values are not critical and are unnoticeable even during long gaming sessions. Moreover, battery life is even better than many X300 series devices thanks to the 7200 mAh battery. You can easily expect 10-12 hours of screen-on time. Wireless charging has been removed, but this isn't a major drawback given the 90W wired option. Storage options include 256GB or 512GB.
Photography is definitely above average. The only disappointment is the simple 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. The main 50-megapixel camera module and the 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom are equipped with hybrid image stabilization, a sophisticated noise reduction algorithm, and advanced autofocus, ensuring even evening photo sessions are free of artifacts. Stereo sound with decent volume, NFC contactless payments, 5G network support, an IR port, and a very affordable price tag by today's standards complete the positive impression of a device that has the potential to become a real hit.
