The Xiaomi 18 – a major advancement

The entry-level smartphones in the Chinese company Xiaomi's flagship line have always enjoyed only moderate success. However, these phones have sometimes lagged significantly in terms of photo capabilities, battery life, and other parameters. The new model's appearance is similar to its predecessor. Sky-high scores in synthetic benchmarks (4,300,000 points in AnTuTu v10), a stable framerate at maximum graphics presets in all existing Android games, and a lag-free HyperOS interface—all of this demonstrates the aforementioned combination. Power efficiency isn't as impressive, but it does feature an 8000 mAh battery. It guarantees a couple of days of active use, boasting 50W wireless charging and a 100W wired alternative. You won't have to spend long periods near a power outlet. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1024GB.

Photography has been improved. The high-tech 200-megapixel main sensor and 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom are equipped with hybrid image stabilization, making capturing highly detailed photos and videos even in the evening effortless. Noise and blur are only detectable with cropped images. Stereo sound is loud and rich, comparable to inexpensive Bluetooth speakers. NFC, 5G and eSIM support, and an infrared blaster further enhance the device's appeal. The result is a well-balanced, compact, stylish, and powerful device without any visible compromises.
