Xiaomi Poco X5 GT Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Poco X5 GT Overview
Xiaomi Poco X5 GT - sub-flagship without a single minus?
A sub-brand of the Chinese company Xiaomi called Poco releases several series of smartphones at once, aimed at different user audiences. So, the F-line provides the highest performance, the X-line - a balance of all technical characteristics. The hero of today's review successfully combines the strengths of the representatives of both lines.
The appearance of the novelty is difficult to criticize. A beautiful glass panel, a neat block of photomodules, an ergonomic side fingerprint scanner, really thin bezels around the entire perimeter help the device outperform most competitors in terms of exterior attractiveness. The developer also worked on the display. If the resolution of the 6.67-inch AMOLED panel is the usual 2400x1080 pixels, then the combination of a huge margin of brightness, the virtual absence of PWM effect, 120 Hz refresh rate and superbly calibrated color reproduction will delight even other fans of expensive flagships.
The choice of chipset is also interesting. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 CPU paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and Adreno 668 graphics card strikes the perfect balance of gaming power and power efficiency. Impressive results in the AnTuTu benchmark, stable framerate at maximum graphics presets in all existing games, up to 10-12 hours of active screen time from a 5500 mAh battery make the processor one of the best solutions in the price segment. The battery supports 67W fast wired charging. There is no wireless analogue, but the opponents do not have it either. Even a couple of hours of gameplay does not lead to critical heating of the case. As for the size of the internal storage, there are 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB ROMs to choose from. But expanding the memory with MicroSD cards will not work due to the lack of a corresponding slot.
The photographic capabilities of the main 50-, 8- and 2-megapixel photosensors are quite wide thanks to the use of a technological Sony IMX766 module with optical stabilization. Especially its presence affects the quality of evening and night photos. The number of captured details is greater, the noise in the pictures is practically not observed. We are pleased with the support for shooting 4K video, the video sequence is smooth, almost without the effect of ghosting when moving. NFC contactless payment, modem operation in 5G networks, an infrared port for controlling household appliances, splash protection and a branded democratic price are combined with the previously listed advantages to create a future hit that is ready to please both the gamer and the fan of high-quality photos.
