Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro Overview
Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro - the first true flagship?
A sub-brand of a Chinese company called Redmi, most of its products are aimed at the low and middle price segment. It is in them that the corporation feels very confident and, in fact, is one of the market leaders. However, the really flagship devices were produced exclusively by the parent company. With the hero of today's review, the situation has changed significantly.
The appearance of the novelty turned out to be attractive and, importantly, expensive. The tempered glass back panel is adorned with a stylish triple camera unit, the AMOLED display bezels are almost reduced to zero. An under-screen fingerprint scanner, a tiny selfie camera lens and other little things add extra beauty to the exterior. Perhaps, you can only find fault with the plastic edging, but its coating is chosen well and does not impair the tactile sensations of the device. The 6.67-inch AMOLED screen impresses with image clarity at a resolution of 3200x1440 pixels, but pleases with a 120-Hz refresh rate, well-corrected color reproduction and excellent brightness.
The Android smartphone is truly revealed in the technical specifications. The top Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU with 8GB / 12GB / 16GB of RAM and the Adreno 740 video core does not leave modern games even the slightest chance of jamming. At the same time, the performance margin is so large that the bundle can be considered gaming even after 3-4 years. The energy efficiency of the chipset is better than that of its predecessors. Although the 5000mAh battery will usually have to be charged once a day, it is ready to provide its 7-8 hours of active screen time. It's also nice to know that 120W wired fast charging is complemented by a wireless alternative. The internal storage is allocated 128/256/512GB without the possibility of expansion.
Let the device not be called a full-fledged camera phone, it will not disappoint fans of high-quality photography. The three modules are topped by a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 sensor with optical stabilization, which perfectly copes with daytime shots and does not fail in 99% of evening photo shoots. Only some loss of detail and the presence of minor noise may not please sophisticated photographers. But the volume of stereo sound with a balanced frequency response will please all music lovers. NFC contactless payments, modem operation in 5G networks, an infrared port for controlling household appliances and an optimized MIUI shell increase the functionality and attractiveness of the gadget, the only significant disadvantage of which is the lack of moisture protection.
