ZTE Axon 41 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ZTE Axon 41 5G Overview
ZTE Axon 41 5G - the perfect sub-flagship?
The intersection of the middle and high price segments of the smartphone market increasingly pleases us with really interesting products with an outstanding combination of price and quality. At the same time, even developers who have lost their truly leadership positions are trying to produce competitive phones in the specified cost category. So, the hero of today's review will cause positive emotions in 100% of his customers.
The design of the novelty turned out to be more than attractive, it is almost devoid of traces of savings to reduce costs. A high-quality glass back panel, a triple camera design that meets the standards of modern fashion, thin display bezels and strict body colors are combined into a beautiful exterior. The edging of the monoblock is plastic, although it is stylized as metal. The material is scratched quickly, without a protective cover, its appearance will rapidly deteriorate. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel is not a record-breaking, but still has an increased 90 Hz refresh rate, the brightness and contrast values are also good. The under-screen fingerprint sensor does not work very accurately, but rare misses do not cause discomfort.
Technical characteristics are extremely optimal for the price tag of the device. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU will be relevant for several more years due to decent performance and at the same time reasonable power consumption. 8GB of RAM and the Adreno 650 GPU help the well-known chipset to demonstrate smooth gameplay even in Fortnite, Alien: Isolation, Genshin Impact and other high-tech Android games, the graphics of which are close to those of full-fledged game consoles. At the same time, a 5000mAh battery provides about 7-8 hours of active screen time and requires only 35-40 minutes of charging to reach full capacity. The size of the internal storage was 128/256GB, but the manufacturer also left a slot for microSD cards. And this is an infrequent guest in expensive Android smartphones.
Photographic capabilities are by no means bad, but they look weak against the background of other parameters of the device. 64-, 8- and 5-megapixel cameras without optical stabilization will upset you with frequent blurring when shooting moving objects, and noise will be added to them in evening shots. The video sequence will be spoiled by the ghosting effect. On the other hand, it is daytime photos that are almost as detailed as those of camera phones. Stereo sound, work in 5G networks, NFC contactless payment expand the list of advantages of the phablet, which, unfortunately, does not include moisture protection, wireless charging. However, the final impression of the reviewed apparatus is still very positive.
