ZTE Nubia NaviX Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
ZTE Nubia NaviX Ultra Overview
ZTE Nubia NaviX Ultra - AI and More
The Chinese company ZTE isn't a leader in the smartphone market, but it's close. That's why the manufacturer is doing everything possible to capture some of its competitors' audiences. Thus, the developer has created another high-end device that offers a well-balanced price-quality ratio, while also boasting a compelling competitive advantage.
The design of the new device is stylish and eye-catching. Firstly, users can choose from several interesting metal and glass case colors. Secondly, it's hard not to fall in love with the horizontal photo module array and thin bezels all around the screen. Of course, this expensive modern phone is IP68 water-resistant. The 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint scanner delivers detailed images with a resolution of 2688x1216 pixels, smoothly displayed at a flagship 144 Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED panel is comfortable to use in direct sunlight, thanks to its peak brightness of 4500 nits. The positive impression is further enhanced by the responsive touch panel, natural color reproduction, and a high-quality oleophobic coating.
The technical specifications include last year's top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and an Adreno 840 GPU. This combination provides the optimal combination for keeping the product's cost reasonable while delivering outstanding performance. An AnTuTu score of over three million points suggests that even seasoned gamers will love this device. Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and other resource-intensive games will run smoothly even at maximum graphics settings and frame rates of over 100 frames per second. Of course, the powerful processor does suffer from throttling, but it's not critical and only shows up in synthetic benchmarks. Battery life is ensured by a 7100 mAh battery, which provides approximately 8-9 hours of screen-on time. The device offers 50W wireless charging and a 100W wired charger. Storage options include 256GB/512GB.
Photography is good for its class, even though it's not a full-fledged camera phone. All cameras are 50 megapixels, and the main sensor and telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom feature hybrid image stabilization. As a result, capturing high-quality photos is easy even in poor lighting conditions, and even moving objects can be captured with virtually no artifacts or blur. The wide-angle lens, however, is simpler and is recommended for daytime use. Stereo speakers, 5G and NFC support, and advanced AI that works offline round out the list of advantages of this functional, technologically advanced, yet affordable device. The only real drawback, the mediocre software optimization, is easily forgiven.
