AGM Glory G1 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
AGM Glory G1 Overview
AGM Glory G1 - controversial return
The Chinese company AGM, specializing in the production of smartphones with IP68 protection, several years ago was able to seriously declare itself with the X2 and X3 models. But apparently, most of the budget was spent on the products listed, and the money did not pay off due to the illiterate advertising campaign and the unknown brand for the audience as a whole. Due to the virtual failure, the corporation is only now showing signs of recovery and offers an updated flagship line. However, does the price of new products correspond to their functionality and quality?
The appearance of the phone, protected from water and dust ( IP68 standard), is rather pleasing than upsetting. Let the rubberized shock-resistant case turn out to be bulky, the beautiful texture of the back panel and the extremely original design of the triple camera completely atone for this shortcoming. The wide display bezels are not particularly striking either; the phablet looks decent for its segment. The 6.53-inch screen is created using IPS technology, and in the flagships we are already used to seeing AMOLED panels. There is no increased refresh rate of the picture, the brightness and contrast parameters are insufficient for direct sunlight. As a result, the installed IPS panel can be praised only for the resolution of 2340x1080 pixels and the oleophobic coating.
Specifications are also questionable. Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 has 5G network support and reasonable power consumption, but its performance is not all smooth. If the Android 11 interface functions without the slightest delay, then this is not the case for resource-intensive games. Even 8GB of RAM and the Adreno 619L video adapter make little difference. The same Genshin Impact is on the verge of playability even at close to the minimum graphics settings. But there is no strong heating even with long 4K video recording. The volume of internal memory has reached 256GB , while the microSD card slot is also preserved, which is unlikely to be needed.
The three main cameras are a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, a 20-megapixel night vision module and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Auxiliary photo modules are suitable only for entertainment, it is problematic to get really high-quality pictures with it, but the main photo sensor is ready to offer detailing of daytime frames and a small amount of noise on them, taken in low light. The autonomy also did not disappoint, thanks to the processor and a huge 6200mAh battery. The battery will be asked to recharge once every couple of days, the 18W charger should speed up this process. NFC contactless payments and an incredibly loud 33mm mono speaker also add to the list of advantages of the gadget. Unfortunately, the inflated price tag and budget CPUs with OGS display call into question the future popularity of the device.
