AGM Glory G1 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
AGM Glory G1 Pro Overview
AGM Glory G1 Pro - in pursuit of unnecessary things
The desire of the Chinese company AGM to return to its former positions is visible to the naked eye. Several new products at once this year have systematically led to the release of a full-fledged flagship expensive line. However, the developer decided to give priority not to performance or photographic capabilities, but to functionality, moreover, rather unusual and ambiguous. Will such a device become popular with a sophisticated audience?
The corporation's designers definitely worked on the design of the device, but there are still a number of drawbacks in the exterior. In addition to the standard excess dimensions for rugged phones, I would like to criticize the display frame, which is not the actual form factor of a 16-megapixel front camera. On the positive side, we would like to highlight the interesting colors of the rubberized bodies, the impressive circular design of the four cameras, the favorable location of the incredibly loud mono speaker (up to 113dB ). The Android smartphone is really ready to replace the small Bluetooth speaker. The 6.53-inch IPS display is disappointing in quality. Average values of brightness and contrast, the usual refresh rate of 60Hz are more typical for OGS-screens in devices of a lower price segment. FullHD + resolution and the presence of an oleophobic coating do not correct the overall impression of the displayed image.
Specifications could be better too. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 CPU is not in the top series of this manufacturer, so even 8GB of RAM and the Adreno 619L graphics adapter will not help gamers achieve a comfortable gaming experience in resource-intensive hits like Fortnite or Genshin Impact, even with reduced graphics settings. Sometimes there will be sagging of the freimrate, friezes. But they did not skimp on the size of the internal storage, it amounted to as much as 256GB, in addition to which there is a slot for MicroSD cards . In addition, the installed chipset is energy efficient. This fact, combined with a 6200mAh battery, indicates the excellent autonomy of the phablet in the region of 10-12 hours of active screen time.
Let's move on to photographic capabilities. The 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor without optical stabilization is clearly not a photographer's dream. Even in daytime shots, sometimes noises and subtle smears are visible, with a deterioration in lighting, the situation is aggravated. A 20-megapixel night photosensor, thermal imager and macro camera will surprise others, but their quality level is far from what is necessary, for example, for hunting. Of the advantages, we note contactless NFC payments and IP68 protection from moisture and dust, but such advantages are not able to turn a controversial and at the same time expensive gadget into a potential bestseller.
