AMIGOO R700 - a friend that is not for centuries

The Chinese company AMIGOO does not wish to remain in the shadow of more successful countrymen. The range of models is expanding with each passing month, and it has some interesting devices. However, we should note the presence of smartphones, that are extremely lacking a balance. Combining great technological innovations, these products are also characterized by a big fly in the ointment. The hero of today's review, unfortunately, refers to the second category.

It is really hard to find fault in the appearance of the novelty. There are a fingerprint scanner, a nice quality plastic, stylized under the metal, small bezels of a display. Taking into account the budget orientation of the device this combination looks fresh and competitive. Even the IPS-display with a diagonal of 5 and a half inches and resolution in 960x540 pixels does not seem archaic. The image is almost not distorted under any angles, brightness and contrast are not flagship, but raise no objections.

But in terms of technical characteristics the manufacturer made a serious mistake. If the processor Mediatek MT6580 without 4G and OTG support and the video adapter Mali400MP2 it is still possible to reconcile, then it is certainly not with 512MB of RAM. This amount will not be enough even for 5-10 browser tabs, say nothing of more or less today's demanding games. But 8GB of ROM can be expanded by MicroSD cards. Thus, at least for music and movies you will find a place.

5- and 2-megapixel cameras do not cause rapid enthusiasm, they are capable only to make photos of a simple text and pictures of landscapes with excellent lighting. But 2800mAh battery in conjunction with a screen with qHD-resolution, and cost-effective "hardware" guarantees about 6-8 hours of screen time activities. In general, the device is very controversial. The exquisite design and decent autonomy contrast with the weak "hardware" and the mediocre photomodules. Will the phablet reach a success and have huge sales? The probability of this is catastrophically low because of the above reason.
