Blackview A70 - a couple of years late

Launching an inexpensive smartphone is not the easiest task in today's smart phone market. The audience is becoming more and more demanding of the technical characteristics and functionality of even such devices. Unfortunately, the Chinese company Blackview decided that the hero of today's review would have enough of an exceptionally beautiful design and autonomy to win the hearts of users.

The appearance of the novelty is really good. The designers of the manufacturer tried to bring several flagship features to the exterior, such as a frameless screen and the actual design of a block of three photo modules. Only the rear plastic fingerprint reader and the 5MP teardrop-shaped selfie camera remind us of the budget focus of the phablet. The 6.52-inch OGS-screen is endowed with a low HD + resolution, but this fact is not a disadvantage for a device of a low price category. Moreover, the display is not devoid of brightness and contrast.

But with the performance of the gadget, not everything is smooth. The UNISOC SC9863A processor, together with 3GB of RAM and the PowerVR GE8322 video accelerator, even copes with the Android 11 interface, but gamers will have to rely only on more or less stable work of casual games. Demanding applications will sometimes slow down even with minimal graphics presets. 32GB of internal storage is allocated, the problem of lack of memory can be partially corrected with microSD cards .

The main 13- and 0.3-megapixel cameras come in handy for capturing text documents or static objects in perfect lighting. In other scenarios, there is a huge chance to get a blurry image with an abundance of noise. But they didn't save on battery capacity. The 5360mAh battery must be charged every two to three days of active use of an Android smartphone. As a result, the device is well suited for the role of a second mobile assistant for receiving calls and messages. For other purposes, we cannot recommend the considered unit.
