Blackview A96 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview A96 Overview
Blackview A96 is a surprisingly competitive smartphone
The Chinese company Blackview has been on the market for a long time, but it cannot get out of the rank of catching up. The corporation is definitely trying to produce more and more technologically advanced and balanced devices, but competitors with impressive budgets are still ahead of the developer. Fortunately, the manufacturer still sometimes creates amazing phones for their price segment that can attract hundreds of thousands of users. And the hero of today’s review is one of them.
They did a great job on the design of the new product. Firstly, the back panel not only pleases with a stylish block of three cameras, but is also made of tempered glass with a matte finish. This is a very high quality and interesting solution for the price category. Secondly, the fingerprint sensor has a convenient location on the side. Thirdly, the display frames turned out to be quite thin; the inconspicuous lens of the front 16-megapixel camera also makes the exterior attractive. The 6.5-inch IPS panel is also not satisfactory. There is a high resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a 120-Hz image refresh rate, and a decent brightness reserve for the technology.
The technical characteristics are MediaTek Helio G99 CPU, 8GB/12GB RAM, Mali G57-MC2 video accelerator. The bundle may not be the newest, but for the price tag of the device it is quite productive. Truly demanding games like Genshin Impact will require you to reduce the graphics presets to the minimum, but the gameplay will be smooth and fairly stable. Of course, the power of the chipset also manifests itself in everyday life. Android 13 OS functions perfectly, stutters are rare, and there are no delays in opening applications. The energy efficiency of the processor is not record-breaking, but you don’t have to worry about battery life. Even with a 4380mAh battery, it’s not difficult to get a day of active work with the mobile assistant. The charging power is low (18W), but the battery still charges in an acceptable 80-90 minutes. The size of the ROM will please owners of music and video collections, because it has reached 256GB.
The main 48-, 8- and 2-megapixel photo modules can hardly be considered a strong point of the phablet, but they do well with daytime photographs. There is both detail and natural color reproduction. It's a pity that as the lighting worsens, they simply disappear. But the sound is always excellent, because loud stereo speakers are responsible for it. There is also a gyroscope, NFC contactless payments. Thus, we have before us a beautiful, functional and at the same time inexpensive gadget that deserves the attention of the audience.
