Blackview BV4800 SE Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview BV4800 SE Overview
Blackview BV4800 SE - affordable protection
Not all fans of mobile electronics have impressive budgets for buying another smartphone. Quite a few of these people are fans of phones with IP68 water protection. The Chinese company Blackview is well aware of the demand from the mentioned part of the audience, as evidenced by the birth of the hero of today's review. It cannot be called ideal even for its price segment, but it also has many competitive advantages.
The appearance of the new product is not without beautiful features. The unusual texture of the rubberized back panel, interesting colors of the cases, a neat block of cameras and a side fingerprint scanner will not allow the device to get lost among its opponents. But at the same time, there are also negative aspects in the form of the thickness of the monoblock, wide screen frames, an outdated form factor of the 8-megapixel selfie camera. The 6.56-inch display is no worse than those of the gadget's competitors. The resolution of 1612x720 pixels is slightly insufficient for excellent image clarity, and the standard peak brightness of 500 nits is insufficient in direct sunlight. But there is realistic color rendition and smoothness at a 90 Hz refresh rate.
Compared to other representatives of the BV4800, the technical characteristics have improved in performance. The UNISOC Tiger T615 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC1 video adapter are quite enough for comfortable work with Android 15. Applications also launch quite quickly, but gaming capabilities are limited due to the amount of RAM. If less resource-demanding PUBG Mobile or World Of Tanks Blitz feel great even on medium graphics settings, then you will definitely have to forget about Genshin Impact, because it will slow down and sometimes crash to the desktop. Autonomy is fine, because the 5100 mAh battery is responsible for it. The battery allows you to work for a couple of days with the phablet, but charging with a power of 10W will take several hours. The internal storage is small by today's standards (64 GB), but it can be expanded with MicroSD cards.
The photo capabilities of the 16 and 2-megapixel photo modules are difficult to subject to an abundance of compliments. They can capture documents, they are good for video calls, but you should not ask for more. There is no stereo sound, the only speaker will not let you miss a call, but you will not be able to enjoy the music. Among the additional advantages, we note contactless payments NFC. Thus, the device is durable, inexpensive and functional. It can be considered for purchase.
