Blackview BV6200 Plus Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview BV6200 Plus Overview
Blackview BV6200 Plus - improving failed products
Smartphones with the BV6200 index from the Chinese company Blackview did not become bestsellers, but the developer decided not to throw all the developments on the models into the far corner. Thus, the well-known manufacturer made another attempt to achieve profit with an improved version of the device. And it seems that the chances of commercial success for the hero of today's review are somewhat higher.
The appearance of the new product is essentially identical to that of its predecessors. It is problematic to call this aspect positive. Huge display frames, large dimensions of the case, its excess weight - this is an incomplete list of design flaws. A cutout for a massive and loud speaker, a camera block located next to it, a side fingerprint scanner, interesting colors of monoblocks are trying to correct the sad state of affairs. Of course, one cannot fail to mention the increased strength, moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The 6.56-inch IPS panel is controversial. The HD+ resolution is not suitable for the diagonal, small icons and fonts seem slightly blurry. The peak brightness of 550 nits is also not praiseworthy, but the color rendition is calibrated well, and the 90 Hz refresh rate is present.
The technical characteristics include the UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and the Mali G57-MC1 graphics core. The bundle is much more productive than the previously used MediaTek chipsets, which is noticeable both by the more responsive Android 14 interface and by the results in benchmarks (about 250 thousand points in the AnTuTu test). Now you can even play relatively resource-intensive projects like Call Of Duty and count on a stable framerate. The permanent memory is allocated 256 GB with the possibility of expanding it. Although the battery capacity has slightly decreased to 11000 mAh, the battery life is still impressive. More than 14-15 hours of active screen time will not be unusual. But the charging power is standard for the price segment (18W).
Where strong traces of savings are really visible is in the photo capabilities of the phablet. The main 16- and 2-megapixel photo modules are not the sensors that one would like to find in a phone in 2024. Even daytime photos are difficult for the cameras, and blur and noise are common. As mentioned earlier, there are no problems with the sound. There are no stereo speakers, but the bass is audible, the volume is more than 90 decibels. Special thanks can be expressed for the presence of contactless payments NFC. Thus, before us is still far from perfect, but noticeably more relevant in the cost category gadget.
