The products of the Chinese company Blackview have remained without visible technological development for quite a long period of time. This fact is especially noticeable in its protected smartphones of low and middle price segments. For example, the hero of today's review is almost no different from their counterparts in the lineup two years ago.

The appearance of the new item is identical to that of the previously released BV6600 model, however, such a coincidence cannot be called any competitive advantage. The fingerprint scanner from the side looks interesting, you can see the work of designers on decorating the exterior in the form of an extraordinary triple photo module and the same texture of the back panel. But the overall bulkiness of the case, coupled with its enormous thickness and weight, as well as the wide display bezels, noticeably spoil the impression of what you see. The 5.7-inch IPS-screen has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels, the brightness and contrast settings are suitable for using an Android smartphone indoors or outdoors in the shade. Direct rays of the sun negatively affect the visibility of the image, reducing it to zero.

Simplifications have also taken place in the technical specifications. The Spreadtrum SC9863A processor is equipped with 4GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8322 video accelerator, but this bundle is only enough for the functioning of Android 11, and even then not the most responsive one. Many applications open with a delay, are difficult for the phone and several browser tabs. It is not surprising that the situation is the same with games. Casual two-dimensional projects run without problems, but more or less modern Genshin Impact and even PUBG will upset with lags with minimal graphics. The volume of internal storage was a modest 32GB , but a slot for MicroSD cards will not allow a lack of memory to visit the user.

The simplicity of the 13- and 0.3-megapixel photosensors is justified by the price of the Android device and similar shortcomings of the main opponents. Cameras can capture static subjects in daylight or documents, but there is no need to ask more of them. The battery capacity of 8580mAh is the strong point of the gadget, indicating two or more days of active operation of the device. Water protection according to IP68 standards also reveals the device from a positive point of view, however, the previously mentioned number of disadvantages, coupled with the absence of contactless NFC payments, does not allow us to unambiguously recommend the device for purchase.
