The Chinese company Blackview decided to save money in a peculiar way on creating an inexpensive phone with water protection according to IP68 standards. Thus, the developer did not cut the autonomy of the device and its functionality, but reduced its performance and simplified the display. Will the end customer like this solution?

The design of the new product turned out to be bright thanks to two camping flashlights (special LED panels), an interesting block of cameras, the original texture of the rubberized case with increased strength, a 32-megapixel selfie camera installed in the upper part of the IPS display. Of the minuses, we will highlight the wide screen frames standard for this kind of devices and the generally enormous dimensions of the monoblock, as well as the lack of a fingerprint scanner. The 6.67-inch IPS panel evokes controversial emotions. The resolution of 1604x720 pixels is very modest, you can’t dream of high definition images. But this fact is compensated by the smoothness of the content at a 90-Hz refresh rate, relatively good brightness of 600-650 nits.

The technical characteristics include the MediaTek Helio G81 CPU, 6 GB of RAM and the Mali G52-MC2 video core. This combination of parameters cannot be called high-performance. They still cope with the Android 14 interface, although not without complaints, but they give in to truly resource-intensive games like Fortnite. But at the same time, the processor is very energy efficient, which, together with a huge 15,000 mAh battery, indicates 5-6 days of active work with the mobile assistant. It should be understood that even a fast charge of 45W will not significantly reduce the time spent near a socket or power bank (about 3-4 hours to reach 100% capacity). There is no fault with the size of the permanent memory of 256 GB, it can also be expanded with MicroSD cards.

The main 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 photosensor without optical stabilization does not turn the phablet into a camera phone. However, it is quite easy to capture a document at the right moment, and daytime photos without an abundance of moving objects are unlikely to disappoint. Surprisingly, there are loud stereo speakers, the bass is quite audible. Contactless NFC payments are also not forgotten, there is a monochrome night vision module. As a result, the gadget is suitable for fishermen, hunters and those people who really need an autonomous and durable device.
