Blackview Oscal Tiger 13 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview Oscal Tiger 13 Overview
Blackview Oscal Tiger 13 - compromises for the sake of the chipset
The Chinese company Blackview does not forget to experiment to achieve the best results. Thus, the well-known manufacturer decided to create one of the most productive phones at the turn of the low and middle price segments. Of course, the development of such a smartphone was not without a number of simplifications of other parameters.
The appearance of the new product is not worse than that of its opponents. The monoblock is beautiful both in black and in lilac colors, both the triple camera block and the side fingerprint scanner look stylish. The front panel is not so pleasing due to the noticeable display frames, but the 8-megapixel front photo module has a completely modern design. The 6.67-inch IPS screen awakens controversial emotions. The image is smooth at a refresh rate of 90 Hz, it received a peak brightness of 700 nits, which is decent for the matrix type, natural color rendition, but everything is spoiled by a modest resolution of 1600x720 pixels. The final clarity of the output content is not high, small fonts will seem blurry.
But with technical characteristics, the situation is great. The latest UNISOC T760 CPU together with 8 GB of RAM and a Mali G57MP4 video accelerator gives more than 450 thousand points in the AnTuTu test and is even ready to cope with resource-intensive games. Even Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero with reduced graphic presets will be playable. The Android 14 interface functions responsively, without visible lags. Autonomy is also without serious problems, because a 5000 mAh battery is responsible for it. The mobile assistant needs to be charged once every one and a half to two days, but the fast charging power itself is small (18W). The permanent memory is 256 GB, there is a slot for MicroSD cards (hybrid).
Where savings can be seen is in the photographic capabilities. Auxiliary photo sensors are installed solely for beauty, and the main 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 is far from ideal. You should not count on successful shots in poor lighting conditions; you can achieve more or less good detail in a photo only during the day. There is no stereo sound, but there is a jack for wired headphones. Music lovers will be pleased. Also, contactless payment NFC is not forgotten. Thus, if you close your eyes to the disadvantages of the gadget in the form of imperfect cameras and IPS panels, then it can and even should be recommended for purchase.
