Blackview Shark 9 5G Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Blackview Shark 9 5G Overview
Blackview Shark 9 5G - not perfect, but worth attention
2024 has become quite an important year for smartphones at the turn of the low and mid-price segments due to the appearance in such models of new processors with a much more impressive ratio of performance and energy efficiency. So, the hero of today's review will definitely please gamers with a limited budget, and other categories of users may like it too.
The design of the new product is more interesting than that of many opponents. As if painted with a brush, the back panel pleases the eye with a beautiful triple photo module, the exterior is improved by a side fingerprint scanner and relatively thin (except for the bottom) screen frames. Unfortunately, the installed 6.67-inch IPS display is far from perfect. Its main drawback is a modest resolution of 1604x720 pixels, due to which the clarity of small fonts and icons is low. Smoothness of the image at a 90-Hz refresh rate and natural color rendition are trying to save the situation. But the mediocre brightness reserve of 550 nits also prevents them from performing a miracle.
But the technical characteristics are good. The UNISOC T820 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and the Mali G57 MP4 video core behave noticeably better in games than the standard bundle based on MediaTek Helio G99. Almost 500 thousand points in the AnTuTu test indicate that even the resource-intensive Genshin Impact will be functional, albeit at low-medium graphics settings. The chipset made using the 6 nm process technology does not disappoint with strong throttling, allows you to get up to 8-9 hours of active screen time from a 5000 mAh battery. The charging power of 18 W does not cause delight, it is possible to get the full battery capacity in 80-90 minutes. At the same time, 256 GB of permanent memory is allocated, not the slowest standard, and there is a slot for MicroSD cards.
What you definitely won't expect from the device is high-quality evening shots. The 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor without optical stabilization and a pair of extremely simple 2-megapixel modules are simply not ready to cope with complex shooting scenarios; their maximum is daytime photos of low-dynamic objects. But for music lovers, there is a separate headphone jack, and stereo speakers are not forgotten. NFC contactless payments and support for 5G frequencies close the list of advantages of a pretty good gadget with a reasonable price tag. You can and even should consider buying it if the above disadvantages are not critical for the future owner.
