Cubot A10 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Cubot A10 Overview
Cubot A10 - mediocrity at its finest
The Chinese company Cubot specializes mainly in the production of inexpensive smartphones. It would seem that many years of experience in developing devices in the low price segment should have a beneficial effect on the quality of literally every new model. However, it is not so rare for a manufacturer to create frankly passable and uninteresting devices like the hero of today’s review, to which there are dozens, if not hundreds, of alternatives on the market.
The appearance of the new product turned out to be very controversial. Perhaps the only positive aspects that can be highlighted are the colors of the rear panels and the curious design of the dual camera. The cheap plastic body, the lack of a fingerprint scanner, and the outdated form factor of the 16-megapixel selfie camera can hardly be praised. The 6.56-inch IPS screen pleases with the smoothness of the displayed image at a 90 Hz refresh rate, close to realistic color reproduction, but with clarity at HD+ resolution everything is mediocre. The brightness of 500 nits also does not set the mood in a good mood.
The technical characteristics were the most popular UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU, 4GB of RAM and Mali G57 MC1 graphics accelerator. It's hard to complain about the performance of the bundle considering the price tag of the phablet. With almost 250 thousand points scored in the AnTuTu benchmark, you don’t have to worry about the performance of the Android 14 OS, but the gaming capabilities are unlikely to satisfy real gamers. Of course, undemanding 3D games like PUBG Mobile will run without lag, but more resource-intensive Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail are best left for more expensive Android smartphones. 128GB of permanent memory is allocated, but you can always expand it with MicroSD cards.
The 48- and 0.3-megapixel main photo modules cannot be considered the limit of perfection, but it is still possible to take fairly detailed daytime photographs with their help. The main thing is to avoid direct rays of the sun and too moving objects. There are no stereo speakers, so you can't count on loud and rich sound. But there is a jack for wired headphones. But NFC contactless payments had to be removed to reduce costs. It is extremely difficult to call such a step correct. As a result, the gadget came out gray and uninteresting.
