Cubot KingKong ES Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Cubot KingKong ES Overview
Cubot KingKong ES - a compromise hit
The cheaper the smartphone, the further it moves away from the ideal. Unfortunately, it is impossible to make any adjustments to this situation, because low cost is achieved only by serious savings. However, the Chinese company Cubot tried to do everything so that the hero of today's review evoked only positive emotions in the buyer. But of course, there were some obvious disadvantages.
The appearance of the new product is no worse than that of its counterparts at double the price. Pleasant to the touch and extremely durable rubberized case with moisture protection according to IP68 standards pleases with beautiful colors and stylish texture, the block of photo modules turned out to be interesting. But there is no fingerprint scanner, the display frames are quite wide. The 6.56-inch IPS screen will not amaze the imagination with the clarity of the image, although the HD + resolution is standard for the price category, it is difficult to consider it a disadvantage. But there is also an increased 90-Hz refresh rate of the picture, its natural color rendering and not the most modest reserve of brightness (550 nits).
The technical characteristics are the UNISOC Tiger T606 processor, 6 GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC1 graphics core. Perhaps this is the best solution for such an inexpensive device. Android 14 rarely upsets with lags, applications launch quite quickly, the user will not be left without games either. Of course, resource-intensive projects like Honkai: Star Rail will have to either be left for expensive analogues, or be content with minimal graphics presets with gameplay lags. In less demanding Call Of Duty Mobile or Satndoff, such problems are not observed. The volume of permanent memory of 128 GB, supplemented by a slot for MicroSD cards, is also impressive.
They did not save on the main photo modules either. The 48- and 2-megapixel cameras are useful for daytime shooting, with their help it is more than possible to achieve high-quality photos with an adequate level of detail and a minimum of errors in color rendering. Stereo sound is not provided, for some reason there is no separate headphone jack. What is really disappointing is the lack of NFC. This is the most significant drawback of the gadget. But if you are ready to put up with it, the device will be a reliable mobile assistant.
