Cubot KingKong Power 3 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Cubot KingKong Power 3 Overview
Cubot KingKong Power 3 - relaunch
What to do if you suddenly managed to develop a bestseller that sold out in excellent numbers? If there are two options: to create its full-fledged sequel or to release an expanded version with a number of new competitive advantages. The hero of today's review took the second path and it cannot be said that the decision of the Chinese company Cubot was wrong.
The appearance of the new product has undergone significant changes. The screen diagonal has increased to 6.72 inches with a similar frame thickness, the additional display has disappeared, in its place there is now a cutout for an amazing speaker with a volume of 123 dB. On the rubberized back panel there is also a block of three photo modules, attractive LED backlighting. The case itself is ready to please with moisture protection according to IP68 standards, but for the same reason the ergonomics of the monoblock are mediocre. Such dimensions and weight of the mobile assistant make it not particularly suitable for the female part of the audience. The previously mentioned IPS screen boasts excellent picture smoothness at a 120 Hz refresh rate, realistic color rendition, and sufficient clarity at a FullHD+ resolution. The only thing that will be missing is the maximum brightness threshold. 600 nits are still not always able to maintain visibility of content in direct sunlight.
The technical characteristics are old acquaintances in the face of the MediaTek Helio G99 CPU, 12 GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 video adapter. The relevance of the bundle is gradually fading, but today it will still suit many users. Almost 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu test, the ability to play all modern games, albeit sometimes at low graphics settings, help the chipset not to disappoint customers. The Android 14 interface functions responsively, without an abundance of lags. The battery capacity has not been reduced, the 10600 mAh battery is enough for 2-3 days of work with the device. There is also a fast charge with a power of 33W. There will be no problems with the size of the internal storage, because it is 256 GB with a slot for MicroSD cards.
Auxiliary 5 and 0.3-megapixel cameras are unlikely to be a reason for delight, but the impression from them is smoothed out by a high-quality main 100-megapixel sensor. Daytime photos come out detailed in 99%, there is a good chance to avoid noise and blurring of objects in evening shots. As noted earlier, the sound is loud, rich, no worse than that of inexpensive Bluetooth speakers. NFC support, a gyroscope and a low price tag add to the list of advantages of the gadget, which will appeal to more than one fan of smartphones with increased durability.
