Cubot Max 3 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Cubot Max 3 Overview
Cubot Max 3 - the return of a forgotten friend?
A couple of years ago, the Chinese company Kubot had every chance of becoming, if not one of the leaders in the smartphone industry, but a well-known and beloved manufacturer by millions. Several successful phones with a good combination of price and functionality, the start of sales in Europe and the CIS countries, and even a minor marketing campaign should have formed a positive perception of the brand among buyers, but then something went wrong. Subsequently, many successful lines of Android smartphones have been suspended, and the product range itself has diminished. But it seems that the corporation is gradually getting out of a difficult position.
The appearance of the novelty allows you to praise the designers of the developer. Of the obvious shortcomings, only the large lower frame of the display catches the eye, the side fingerprint sensor, strict and at the same time pleasant to the eye colors of the rear panels, the neat opening of the 16-megapixel front camera in the screen helps the gadget to look relevant and competitive. The body is made of plastic by low-mid-range standards, but the matte finish improves the tactile feel of the device. In order to avoid scratches, it is recommended to carry the phablet in the case that comes with the kit. The 6.95-inch IPS display is mediocre. The claim to it will be a resolution of 1640x720 pixels. As a result, the clarity of the picture is low, if desired, individual pixels are visible. Brightness and contrast are not easy to criticize, but content is not visible in direct sunlight.
Specifications selected CPU Mediatek Helio P22, 4 gigabytes of RAM and graphics adapter PowerVR GE8320. The HD display reduces the load on the video accelerator, however, really demanding games will not be playable even with low graphics presets. At the same time, Android 11 is not subject to noticeable jams, there are no problems with not particularly resource-intensive applications either. The ROM size was 64GB , which is a bit by today's standards. Fortunately, microSD- format cards will save you your memory shortage.
48, 5 and 0.3 megapixel modules are a great tool for capturing daytime shots. Although auxiliary sensors are frankly bad, the main photomodule provides capturing the smallest details, careful color rendering. To create evening photos, both optical stabilization and a sophisticated noise reduction system and high-quality lenses are lacking. The autonomy of the device is excellent. A large 5000 mAh battery guarantees a couple of days of active use of an Android smartphone without the need to look for outlets. NFC contactless payment will be approved by a sophisticated audience, but the lack of a headphone output and stereo sound is unlikely. As a result, the device is unlikely to be a bestseller, unless the developer company soon lowers the price tag.
