Cubot Note 21 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Cubot Note 21 Overview
Cubot Note 21 - cloning must be stopped
Once every couple of years, a small but important revolution occurs in each price category of the smartphone market. Usually it is associated with the emergence of new processors, cameras and other components, the quality of which is significantly better. However, then literally all manufacturers begin to produce solutions of the same type, in the monotony of which it is easy to get confused. The hero of today's review also belongs to them.
The appearance of the novelty is unlikely to cause a storm of positive emotions. If the colors of the cases are good, as well as the block of photomodules, then the plastic of the back panel is quite cheap, and the large display frames also upset. The lack of a fingerprint sensor and the outdated design of the 8-megapixel front camera are also unpleasantly surprising. The 6.56-inch IPS display is also imperfect. Perhaps the main complaint is a modest resolution of 1612x720 pixels, because of which small inscriptions and icons will appear blurry. The brightness level of 450 nits does not allow you to comfortably use the device in direct sunlight. Of the pluses, we highlight the refresh rate of the picture at 90Hz, which is close to natural color reproduction.
The technical specifications were the popular UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU, 6GB of RAM and the Mali G57 MC1 graphics adapter. The already familiar 200+ thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark are complemented by the responsiveness of the Android 13 interface, relatively fast application launch. The previously used MediaTek Helio A22, P22, G35 were not capable of this. Playing modern games is also possible, even if Genshin Impact, Fortnite and similar projects do not fall into their list due to the abundance of lags even with minimal graphics settings. The power efficiency of the chipset is good, so the 5200mAh battery drains slowly and provides about two days of phablet operation. Things are worse with the charging power, it was only 10W. 128GB of ROM and a hybrid microSD card slot reduce the chance of running out of memory to almost zero.
50 and 2-megapixel sensors, led by the famous Samsung JN1, are not afraid of daytime shooting of static objects. Of course, the frame does not always turn out great due to the limited dynamic range and sometimes long focusing, but it is quite possible to take a clear photo from several takes. There is no stereo sound, the developer also saved on NFC contactless payments. Thus, the gadget lacks competitive advantages against the background of opponents, which will negatively affect its sales. Definitely recommend the device for purchase is impossible.
