Doogee Fire 6 Max Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
DOOGEE Fire 6 Max Overview
DOOGEE Fire 6 Max - a tough case
The Chinese company Doogee is known for its smartphones protected from dust and moisture according to IP68 standards. However, the evolution of the manufacturer's model range is manifested exclusively in technical characteristics and functionality. The design of such devices, unfortunately, remains the same, which means that the dimensions and ergonomics are still at a mediocre level. The hero of today's review is no exception.
It is difficult to have a clearly positive or negative attitude to the appearance of the new product. The developer made sure that the exterior had attractive features like the original block of four photo modules, a memorable texture of the back panel, a side fingerprint scanner, but the enormous weight of the device, the huge display frames are unlikely to please any fan of mobile electronics. The almost 7-inch screen is created using outdated IPS technology, which affected the peak brightness. It is not enough to work with the unit in direct sunlight, but other indicators do not cause complaints. The displayed image is clear at FullHD+ resolution, smooth at a refresh rate of 120Hz. Color rendition is slightly faded compared to AMOLED analogs, but the problems are not considered critical.
MediaTek Dimensity 7050 CPU, 8GB RAM and Mali G68 MC4 graphics accelerator are far from the worst combination for a mid-budget phone. More than 500 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark indicate that there will be few slowdowns in the Android 15 interface. Gaming capabilities are not terrible, because you can run all modern games. But you should not count on the highest graphics settings. In the same Genshin Impact, getting stable, responsive gameplay is possible with low-medium presets. What will really amaze you is the autonomy. A fantastic 20800mAh battery will make you forget about the existence of sockets or power banks for 4-5 days. There is only one minor fly in the ointment - the charging power was 33W, so the full capacity will be reached in 6-7 hours. 256GB of permanent memory is allocated, there is also a slot for MicroSD cards.
The photo capabilities are not flagship, but they do not disappoint. The main 50-megapixel sensor, although without optical stabilization, copes with many complex shooting scenarios. Even evening shots will usually be detailed and pleasing to the eye in terms of color rendering. Users will also use the 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and the thermal imager, and the monochrome night vision sensor. But there is no stereo sound, fortunately, the only speaker is loud enough. NFC contactless payment, 5G support, a gyroscope are additional advantages of the device, which is definitely not suitable for everyone. But fans of large, durable gadgets won't be disappointed.
