Doogee S Cyber Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
DOOGEE S Cyber Overview
DOOGEE S Cyber - continuing to expand the range
The Chinese company Doogee decided in a rather unique way to increase the proposed range of smartphones. So, even a couple of minor changes in the phone, according to the developer, already deserves to be released under a new name. The hero of today's review is not much different from the recently announced Punk model, but is slightly more expensive. Is the overpayment worth it?
The appearance of the new product is similar to the mentioned predecessor. The same dimensions of the rubberized case with moisture protection according to IP68 standards indicate similar ergonomics. But the texture of the rear panel is different, the block of photomodules has been slightly changed. Unfortunately, that same huge speaker, which previously had no significant competitive advantage, has disappeared. The side fingerprint sensor is still in place. The 6.58-inch IPS screen evokes rather positive emotions. Yes, it lacks brightness on a sunny day, but the combination of FullHD+ resolution, modern 90-Hz image refresh rate and realistic color rendering makes it possible to pay less attention to this shortcoming. It is also necessary to note the high-quality protective film on the IPS panel.
The technical characteristics were the UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU and the Mali G57MC1 video adapter, now combined with 8GB of RAM. The increased amount of RAM helps more applications run in the background, but performance in benchmarks is the same (250 thousand points in AnTuTu), and resource-intensive games like Honkai: Star Rail are still not available for comfortable gameplay. The energy efficiency of the processor benefits autonomy. A huge 10800mAh battery literally always provides 3-4 days of active use of the phablet. The charging power, however, is only 18W, so the device will spend a considerable 4-5 hours at a power outlet. The internal storage is allocated as much as 256GB, but if this is not enough for the user, then it is never too late to use MicroSD cards.
You don't need to ask much from the main 50-megapixel camera and 5-megapixel macro camera. They are suitable for daytime shots, in which both details and the absence of obvious errors in color reproduction will be visible. Evening pictures are filled with noise. There is no stereo sound; we also saved on a jack for wired headphones. Thank God that NFC contactless payments are abandoned. The final impression of the gadget can hardly be called negative, but it’s easier to take its more affordable and equally functional analogue from the line.
