Doogee V40 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
DOOGEE V40 Pro Overview
DOOGEE V40 Pro - a protected almost flagship
The Chinese company Doogee tries not to forget about the middle and even upper price segments of the smartphone market. And although the corporation still lacks the budget for a full-fledged top gadget that can delight even a sophisticated user, it tries to create harmonious and balanced devices for more reasonable money. One of these is the hero of today's review.
The appearance of the new product cannot be considered the best among IP68 smartphones, but there is something to praise it for. The side fingerprint scanner, a round block of four photo modules, a futuristic back panel definitely with an additional IPS panel (displaying time, notifications, steps taken and other functions) add points of attractiveness to the exterior, but the large display frames and impressive thickness of the case raise questions. The 6.78-inch IPS screen boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate, correct color rendering, and good touch panel responsiveness. The only thing that is not pleasing is the brightness reserve, which only slightly exceeds 600 nits.
The technical characteristics include the latest MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, as much as 16 GB of RAM, and a Mali G615MP2 video adapter. The bundle does not claim to set performance records, but almost 650 thousand points in the AnTuTu test guarantee extremely smooth operation of the Android 14 interface, as well as the operability of all existing applications and games. The most resource-intensive projects (Fortnite, Genshin Impact, and others), however, will require a noticeable reduction in graphic presets. There is no need to complain about autonomy, because the phablet received an 8680 mAh battery. It will last for 2-3 days of active use. Fast charging is present, but its power is modest 33W. You need to be near the outlet for about three hours. The permanent memory is allocated as much as 512 GB, there is also the possibility of expanding it with MicroSD cards.
The main 200- (main photosensor Samsung ISOCELL HP3), 20- (night vision sensor), 8-megapixel (wide-angle lens and telephoto lens with three-fold zoom) cameras, although they did not receive hybrid stabilization, cope with many shooting scenarios. Even evening shots are not always spoiled by noise or blur, the detail is quite up to par. There are also loud stereo speakers, and contactless payments NFC, and moisture protection. The list lacks, perhaps, only wireless charging, but even without it, the device makes a positive impression.
