Doogee B10 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee B10 Overview
The Doogee B10 – a departure from the norm
What does the average affordable Chinese smartphone with IP68 water resistance look like? If we're talking about Doogee, 99% of such devices were characterized by a deliberately rugged appearance, featuring oversized rubberized cases and an abundance of metal or stylized metal elements. However, with the subject of today's review, the developer decided to experiment.
The appearance of the new device is little different from ordinary modern phones. You wouldn't guess that this neat candybar device with a stylish photo module, a convenient side fingerprint scanner, and the world's smallest display bezels is water- and dust-resistant. Yes, the device is made of polycarbonate, but the quality of the material is quite good. The 6.63-inch IPS display boasts a 2400x1080 resolution, which is optimal for its diagonal size; individual pixels are definitely invisible to the naked eye. The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth playback. Color reproduction is quite natural, but the brightness level is limited due to the technology used. Direct sunlight should be avoided.
The specifications include a MediaTek Helio G100 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and a Mali G57MC2 GPU. While this combination has become a bit of a bore over the past few years, it's still a satisfactory option for a device in the low-to-mid price range. Nearly 400,000 points in AnTuTu ensure the Android 16 interface doesn't suffer from lag, and most games run and run smoothly at low graphics settings. Battery life hasn't been compromised, which is a welcome improvement. The 7600mAh battery lasts 2-3 days with rare exceptions, but the 33W fast charging is still a bit low for such a large capacity. The storage is 256GB.
The photography capabilities won't be a revelation for those who appreciate high-quality photography. The secondary 2-megapixel macro module is extremely basic and unlikely to be used often. The main 64-megapixel sensor is much better, but neither is ideal for evening photo shoots or capturing scenes with dynamic objects due to the lack of optical image stabilization. Such shots show both noise and loss of detail. There are no stereo speakers, so you can't expect super-loud, bass-heavy sound. However, NFC is present, making shopping in hypermarkets a breeze. Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary device, but it's simply a good value for the money.
