Doogee Blade 10 Max Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee Blade 10 Max Overview
Doogee Blade 10 Max - the flagship of the line, an outsider in the segment?
Sometimes creating several versions of the same smartphone leads to disastrous results, because not every manufacturer can successfully balance each option for different price categories. Unfortunately, the Chinese company Doogee was unable to cope with this task, because the hero of today’s review is not always competitive against the background of other representatives of the IP68 segment.
The appearance of the new product is more related to its strengths. The combination of a beautiful block of photo modules, a circle of LED flashes and an additional display (necessary for displaying the time, notifications, shooting assistance and other operations), a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, memorable body colors with protection from dust and moisture according to IP68 standards deserve praise. True, there is a fly in the ointment in the form of the enormous thickness of the candy bar and thick screen frames. The price increase did not affect the IPS display used. The 6.56-inch IPS panel has a modest HD+ resolution, which does not allow for good image clarity. The brightness reserve of 550 nits no longer looks impressive. The remaining pluses are color rendering and a 90-Hz picture refresh rate.
Specifications are also controversial. In place of the used UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU and Mali G57MC1 video adapter, I would like to see something more productive. The combination, together with 8GB of RAM, scores about 250 thousand points in the AnTuTu benchmark, which is only enough for more or less smooth reproduction of the Android 14 interface. The processor involved is not friendly with demanding games like Genshin Impact; the gameplay is replete with unpleasant stutters, regardless of graphic presets. But the autonomy of the energy-efficient chipset reaches 3-4 days of active use of the device. Of course, there is a huge merit in this and the 10300 mAh battery. It's a shame that the charging power is still a ridiculous 10W. 256GB of permanent memory is allocated, and there is also a slot for MicroSD cards.
The cameras have not been upgraded either. A simple 50-megapixel sensor without optical stabilization and 0.3-megapixel cameras do not always cope even with daytime photography, while evening shots in the vast majority of cases are spoiled by noise, blur, and loss of detail. There are no stereo speakers, but at least there is a jack for wired headphones. If you try to find other advantages of the gadget, then NFC contactless payment will be on their list. The final impression of the phone is ambiguous; for similar money you can find a more worthy alternative.
