Doogee Blade 10 Ultra Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee Blade 10 Ultra Overview
Doogee Blade 10 Ultra - stylish but too boring?
The Chinese company Doogee decided to make several configurations of essentially the same smartphone at the border of the low and middle price segments. However, if the most affordable representatives of the updated Blade line are characterized by a rather impressive price-quality ratio, their more expensive counterparts raise questions.
The appearance of the new product has more reasons for praise than for criticism. A neat block of three photo modules that almost does not protrude from the rubberized body, a beautiful texture of the rear panel with a transparent effect, and a side fingerprint scanner look great, which cannot be said about the front surface with large display frames and the outdated form factor of the 8-megapixel selfie camera. These are the consequences of moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The 6.56-inch IPS screen also has both strengths (picture refresh rate of 90 hertz, realistic color reproduction, adequate brightness reserve of 550 nits for the price category) and weaknesses (modest resolution of 1612x720 pixels, lack of an oleophobic layer).
The technical characteristics were the UNISOC Tiger T606 CPU, 8GB of RAM and the Mali G57-MC1 video adapter. The chipset is similar to what we saw in the younger monoblocks of the series, but the amount of RAM has increased. Now there can be about a dozen applications running but not used at the same time, and the Android 14 interface plays more smoothly. But the gaming capabilities are at a similar level. If the not very demanding Call Of Duty or World Of Tanks Blitz work stably, without a lot of lags, then the functioning of the resource-intensive Genshin Impact or Fortnite sometimes looks like a slide show. The ROM is allocated 256GB; if the user still experiences a lack of internal storage, then a separate slot for MicroSD cards is available.
The photo capabilities are not amazing, because they are responsible for an inexpensive 50-megapixel photo sensor from Omnivision and a pair of 0.3-megapixel auxiliary modules. Daytime images often turn out natural in terms of color reproduction, without many artifacts, but evening shots are usually filled with noise and there is a significant drop in detail. The developer also saved on stereo sound, but left a jack for wired headphones. There are also NFC contactless payments, which shopping lovers will definitely appreciate. However, the overall impression of the device is mixed, because it is not much different from existing analogues.
