Doogee Blade 20 Max Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee Blade 20 Max Overview
Doogee Blade 20 Max - peculiar priorities
The Chinese company Doogee is trying its best to diversify the line of smartphones with moisture protection from dust and moisture according to IP68 standards. However, sometimes some of the manufacturer's decisions raise questions. The hero of today's review resembles flagship devices in some aspects, but a closer look at its technical characteristics is rather disappointing given the requested price.
The appearance of the new product has a number of attractive features, although the standard shortcomings of the segment have moved into it entirely. Thus, the screen frames are large, the dimensions of the rubberized case are enormous, the ergonomics are far from outstanding. But there is a beautiful block of photo modules with a stylish ring of LEDs, an original futuristic texture of the back panel, a side fingerprint scanner. But the almost 7-inch IPS panel disappoints with a very modest resolution of 1612x720 pixels, due to which the image lacks clarity, small fonts and icons look either blurry or loose. The brightness reserve is also small (about 450 nits), the only praise is the naturalness of color rendition and smoothness of the picture at a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The MediaTek Helio G100 processor works in tandem with as much as 12 GB of RAM and a Mali G57MC2 video core. The chipset is not bad, but it does not support 5G networks, and the gaming capabilities are not unlimited. So, in the most resource-intensive projects like Fortnite, Zenless Zone Zero, you need to set low-medium, or even more democratic graphic settings. At the same time, the bundle copes with the Android 15 OS without problems. There is no need to complain about autonomy, because the 11800 mAh battery is responsible for it. The latest silicon-carbon battery degrades more slowly, and provides 3-4 days of work with a mobile assistant, and charges quickly (charging power is 33 W). The permanent memory is as much as 1024 GB with a separate slot for MicroSD cards. But what to store on such a volume of ROM with the provided performance?
Photo capabilities are ordinary for the price category. The 20-megapixel night vision sensor will not be useful to everyone, in its place I would like to see a high-quality wide-angle lens or telephoto lens, but the main 64-megapixel module, although deprived of hybrid stabilization, is ready to cope with artistic shooting during the day, and evening shots are not always drowned in noise. There is no stereo sound, but the only large speaker produces a fairly loud and rich sound. NFC contactless payments add to the list of advantages of the device, but I don’t really want to run out and buy such an unbalanced phablet.
