Doogee Blade GT Play Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee Blade GT Play Overview
Doogee Blade GT Play - beautiful and protected
The Blade line of the Chinese company Doogee is growing at a rapid pace. Now it's time for a new device in the low-mid price segment, which can please with both a well-designed design and more than balanced parameters. Of course, there were some compromises, but they cannot be considered significant for an inexpensive device.
The appearance of the new product is stylish for a unit with moisture protection according to IP68 standards. The LED glyphs on the rear panel, an interesting block of photo modules, and a side fingerprint scanner add attractiveness. It's a pity that the form factor of the 16-megapixel front camera came straight from 2019. The 6.72-inch IPS screen can serve as a reason for joy and disappointment. Among its advantages, we highlight good image clarity at FullHD+ resolution, its smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. But the color rendition is somewhat faded, and the peak brightness is only 550 nits. In direct sunlight, the picture fades.
The technical characteristics include the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, 8 GB of RAM and the IMG BXM-8-256 video accelerator. The bundle is popular for a reason. In AnTuTu, it scores about 500 thousand points, thanks to which the performance of the Android 14 interface is at its best. Microlags, if they occur, are rare. You can try the vast majority of resource-intensive games, but in resource-demanding projects like Genshin Impact, it is better to set low graphics settings to increase the stability of the frame rate. The battery has been increased to 5800 mAh, so the battery life reaches 9-10 hours of active screen time. But the charging power was a modest 18W. As for the volume of permanent memory, the built-in 256 GB of ROM can be easily expanded with MicroSD cards.
But they saved on photo capabilities as usual. The gadget does not have a telephoto lens or a wide-angle sensor, of the auxiliary ones there is only a useless 2-megapixel depth sensor. The main 50-megapixel photosensor does not have optical stabilization, so photos in poor lighting or increased dynamics of events are blurry, with noise. The sound of the only speaker is not outstanding, you will not be able to miss a call with it, but it is problematic to enjoy your favorite music. If you try to remember other advantages of the phablet, then contactless payments NFC, support for 5G networks will come to mind. Thus, the device is not ideal, but more than competitive. Ergonomic, durable and long-lasting phone will definitely find its fan.
