Doogee M30 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee M30 Pro Overview
Doogee M30 Pro - On the Path to the Right Ideas
The Chinese company Doogee certainly can't be criticized for laziness or a reluctance to compete with more established brands. While the developer isn't always successful, it strives to please its fans with high-quality, well-balanced, and sometimes unique smartphones. The subject of today's review stands out from many similar devices in its price range, but the manufacturer could have made the new device more interesting in a number of ways.
The device's appearance is quite controversial. The back panel is quite attractive thanks to a variety of colors and textures, a modern photo module, and a stylish yet functional 1.3-inch secondary screen (with various mini-apps, notifications, and selfies). The case is thin, despite being IP68 water-resistant. The front of the device looks unimpressive due to its large display bezels and the outdated design of the 20-megapixel selfie camera. The main 6.88-inch IPS display is impressive, albeit a bit washed-out, thanks to its smooth content and 120Hz refresh rate. Color reproduction is also decent, albeit a bit dull. However, the 1640x720 resolution isn't sharp enough, and the peak brightness of 450 nits suggests using the mobile assistant outdoors in the summer will be challenging.
The technical specifications include a UNISOC T620 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a Mali G57MP1 GPU. This combination doesn't offer exceptional performance, scoring only 250,000 points in AnTuTu. The Android 16 interface is lag-free, but entertainment options are limited to 2D games and undemanding 3D titles like PUBG Mobile. The chipset's power efficiency is impeccable, so the impressive 8000mAh battery easily lasts up to three days of active use. 33W charging isn't exactly fast these days, but a good thing is a fish. 256GB of storage is available, along with a microSD card slot.
Photography isn't disappointing, however. The 2-megapixel macro module isn't exactly impressive, but the main 64-megapixel sensor, while lacking optical image stabilization, handles daytime photography admirably. Photos and videos are quite detailed, with no noticeable noise. The picture quality changes significantly in the evening, but you still have a chance of capturing a high-quality shot. There's no stereo sound, but at least they didn't skimp on the single speaker. The sound is loud and rich. NFC contactless payments and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner round out the list of pluses. Ultimately, the device is far from ideal, but those looking for a battery-powered and durable phone at a low price don't have many alternatives on the market today.
