Doogee N40 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee N40 Pro Overview
Doogee N40 Pro - copying or accidental similarity?
Creating a truly original product is not an easy task, even for well-known manufacturers. Fashion standards dictate rules that most developers have to follow. As a consequence, similar design elements are not uncommon. However, the new product from the Chinese company Dodge is painfully similar to the bestseller from another well-known corporation from the same China.
The appearance of the device actually copies that of the Xiaomi Poco M3. The identical design of the leather-styled rear panel and the camera block is hard to miss. The side fingerprint sensor and the outdated form factor also give out a banal clone of the recent hit in the gadget. Unfortunately, the original was much better in many ways. So, the 6.52-inchIPS-display is reduced in resolution to 1600x720 pixels, which is why the small print is sometimes difficult to read. The brightness and contrast settings are also not striking, which is why the visibility of the image in direct sunlight is mediocre.
The technical characteristics raise fewer questions. The MediatekHelioP60 processor is approximately equal in performance to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 and, together with 6GB ofRAM and the Mali G72MP3 graphics accelerator, achieves approximately 170,000 Antutu benchmark points and the responsiveness of the Android11 interface. Gamers should look at the more expensive alternatives, as resource-intensive games like Genshin Impact slow down even with minimal graphics presets. This kind of gameplay is not comfortable. But the internal storage was allocated as much as 128GB with a separate microSD card slot. There is no need to complain about the lack of memory.
But photographic possibilities are capable of awakening a portion of negativity. 20-, 8- (a pair of modules) and 2-megapixel sensors do not show themselves well in the evening and even more so at night lighting. Detail drops to almost zero when there is a lot of noise. But in the daytime, getting a good shot is real, albeit not always from the first take. Autonomy is the main advantage of an Android smartphone. The impressive 6380mAh battery capacity indicates 10-12 hours of active screen time. Stereo sound and NFC contactless payments could make the device even more attractive to the end customer, but they are missing. As a result, the resulting device cannot compete with the best representatives of the price category.
