Doogee N50S Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee N50S Overview
Doogee N50S - a simple failure
The Chinese company Doogee continues to expand the range of products sold, but not every new model is relevant. Thus, the manufacturer’s decision to make a simplified version of an already rather controversial phone raises a lot of questions. Does the new product have any chance of success?
The appearance of the review hero is not bad, but it has a number of obvious shortcomings. Thus, there is no fingerprint scanner, the display frames are wide, and the design of the 8-megapixel selfie camera is several years out of date. But positive emotions can be caused by a stylish double photo module and the original texture of the rear panel. The 6.52-inch IPS screen is extremely simple. A resolution of 1600x720 pixels is not enough for picture clarity, the brightness margin is small, and it is very difficult to see anything on an IPS panel on a sunny day. There is no oleophobic coating, and color rendition is not ideal.
As for the technical characteristics, the situation with them is less problematic. The UNISOC Tiger T606 processor, which has proven itself in devices in the low price segment, with 4GB of RAM and a Mali G57MC1 video adapter guarantees the responsiveness of the Android 13 interface, and not particularly resource-intensive applications launch without delay. Gaming capabilities, of course, are far from record-breaking. You can’t dream of a stable frame rate in Genshin Impact, but the less demanding World Of Tanks Blitz or Call Of Duty Mobile function without a lot of stutters. There is 128GB of permanent memory, but a slot for MicroSD cards eliminates its potential shortage. The battery has the same 4200 mAh, so there is no deterioration in battery life. For a day and a half you can forget about looking for sockets. The only pity is that the charging power is limited to a modest 10W. A mediocre indicator even for the battery of an inexpensive device.
The photographic capabilities of the main 20- and 0.3-megapixel cameras are also not surprising. Not all daytime photographs are distinguished by good detail, let alone evening frames, the amount of noise and blur in which becomes critical. There is no stereo sound, one speaker is not amazing in volume. The developer decided to leave NFC contactless payments for more expensive devices, which is not considered the right thing to do. As a result, the gadget turned out to be too nondescript and uninteresting. It is hardly possible to recommend it for purchase.
