Doogee Note 59 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee Note 59 Pro Overview
Doogee Note 59 Pro - non-professional improvements
The Chinese company Doogee has become famous in many ways thanks to its low-price smartphones, but today the corporation has too many opponents releasing balanced analogs. The hero of today's review can hardly be considered an unsuccessful product of a famous brand, but the changes against the background of its predecessor are small, and some shortcomings have been transferred directly to the new product.
The appearance of the gadget does not cause any serious complaints. Of course, with an increase in the price tag compared to the previous model, I would like to see thinner display frames, but at least the appearance of a side fingerprint scanner is pleasing. The design of the 8-megapixel selfie camera still comes straight from 2019, but a variety of beautiful colors of the rear panels made of not the worst quality plastic, the original block of photo modules help the exterior look competitive. The 6.75-inch IPS screen still has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, which is not quite suitable for the diagonal, so the picture clarity is far from fantastic. The brightness reserve of 500 nits directly indicates that it is recommended to use the gadget in the shade or indoors, but at the same time the image is ready to boast smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, realistic color rendition.
The technical characteristics are excellent for the price category. The UNISOC T765 (T8200) CPU, 8 GB of RAM and the Mali G57MC2 video adapter provide both support for 5G networks and a performance level of almost 400 thousand points in the AnTuTu test. With such power, you can already think about installing modern games. The most resource-intensive projects like Genshin Impact can really be played with a good frame rate, but the graphics settings will be minimal. Autonomy is excellent thanks to the 6250 mAh battery, you can count on 10 or more hours of active screen time. But fast charging has not appeared, its power is a modest 10W. The ROM volume has been increased to 256 GB, there is a slot for MicroSD cards.
What is definitely not to praise is the photo capabilities of the main 16 and 0.3-megapixel cameras. The sensors are extremely inexpensive, even daytime photos rarely turn out detailed and natural. Capturing documents or video communication are the maximum of their capabilities. There is no stereo sound, the speaker used is not loud, does not reproduce bass. There is no separate headphone jack, you will have to use wireless headsets. But contactless payments NFC are available, which will definitely be appreciated by lovers of hypermarkets. Thus, the phablet is unlikely to cause negative emotions in the buyer, but for its price you can choose a more interesting alternative.
