Doogee S300 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee S300 Pro Overview
The Doogee S300 Pro is just what users want.
The Chinese company Doogee isn't slowing down its release of new smartphones, as competitors are always on the lookout. However, the company magically balances the quantity of new releases with their quality. Today's review subject is a true evolution of the relatively inexpensive, rugged phones with IP68 water resistance, free of many of the typical shortcomings of this segment.
The device's appearance is quite stylish, although many people will dislike the size of the rubberized case and wide screen bezels. Still, it's hard not to fall in love with the beautiful texture of the back panel, the original camera module, the trendy secondary matrix display, and the side fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, to keep costs down, the manufacturer had to install a 6.78-inch IPS screen. It offers excellent image clarity at a resolution of 2460x1080 pixels, and smooth content at a 120Hz refresh rate is no problem. However, color reproduction is a bit dull compared to AMOLED counterparts, and the 700 nits brightness isn't always sufficient for viewing the device in direct sunlight.
However, its technical specifications are superior to those of most competitors. A powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU score nearly 1.5 million points in AnTuTu, allowing for smooth and stable operation of both the Android 16 interface and all modern apps and games. Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and similar titles run smoothly at high graphics settings. Battery life is also impressive, thanks to an 11,000mAh battery. You can expect 15 hours of active screen time. There's no wireless charging, but the wired alternative delivers 66W of power. You won't have to spend too much time near a power outlet. Storage is a whopping 512GB, with a microSD card slot.
Photography has been improved. The high-quality 200-megapixel main sensor from Samsung, even without optical image stabilization, handles challenging shooting scenarios, and the auxiliary modules finally include a 3x zoom telephoto lens (8MP). There's also a 20-megapixel monochrome night vision sensor and a simple 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. As a result, photographers can expect decent shots while hiking. There's no stereo sound, but the single speaker isn't too loud or loud. NFC contactless payments and 5G support round out the list of advantages, making this device definitely worth considering.
