Doogee V20 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee V20 Pro Overview
Doogee V20 Pro - great tool, controversial smartphone?
The Chinese company Doogee does not miss the opportunity to expand the range of secure phones, while it approaches the process creatively. Thus, devices of the middle and highest price categories are replenished not just with the same type of specimens, but with really diverse devices with advanced and sometimes even innovative functionality. It is a pity that other aspects of models like ergonomics are not always encouraging.
The appearance of the novelty has been updated in comparison with its predecessor, but the changes can hardly be called excellent. The block of photomodules turned out to be very peculiar, the excessive dimensions of the rubberized case, caused by moisture protection (IP68) and increased strength, have not disappeared anywhere. The wide bezels of the display and the outdated 16-megapixel front camera look mediocre. Perhaps, only a nice-looking and tactile rear panel, a practical side fingerprint sensor, can evoke positive emotions. But the 6.43-inch IPS display shows a number of improvements. The indicator of maximum brightness has grown, a 120-Hz refresh rate has appeared, and FullHD + resolution has been preserved. Of course, an AMOLED matrix would be much more interesting in terms of image quality, but its use would greatly affect the cost.
The technical characteristics are the MediaTek Dimensity 900 CPU, 12GB of RAM and the Mali G68MC4 video core. With such a bunch, you can already think about quite demanding games like Genshin Impact, albeit with noticeably reduced graphics settings. The battery capacity is the same as the previous 6000mAh, so you don't have to worry about the level of autonomy. Cherished 9-10 hours of active screen time will not be rare. The charging power has been increased to 65W, which is also a serious competitive advantage. 256GB of permanent memory is expanded with MicroSD cards, so the need to clear the cache of Telegram and Whatsapp will occur less frequently.
The main cameras were a 64-megapixel main sensor from Samsung, a 20-megapixel monochrome night vision lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle photo sensor and an amazing thermal imager that works in almost Full HD resolution. Today only a few can boast of such. This module will be useful to specialists of many professions. But the device will not be able to please with rich stereo sound, wired headphones cannot be connected either, which will upset music lovers. But there are NFC contactless payment, Android 13, modem support for 5G networks. The only thing missing from the list is wireless charging, which was definitely sacrificed to keep the gadget's price tag reasonable. As a result, we are far from the most convenient, but quite technological and original Android phone, the actual purchase of which depends solely on the needs of the buyer himself.
