The X55 model, released by the Chinese firm Doogee, did not become the only one stylized under the popular Apple iPhone X. The corporation decided to release an even more affordable smartphone, capable of being a competitive decision in the low cost category. Unfortunately, there were some compromises.

The hero of our today's review almost completely adopted the design of the "older brother". The same eye-pleasing dual matrix, a display with sides ratio at 18:9. The fingerprint sensor disappeared, but it has a decent replacement in terms of style - a metal back panel. Thus, it is very difficult to find fault in the appearance of the phablet. But the 5.3-inches screen is disappointing. It is made by the TN-technology, because of which the image at the angles of inclination is greatly distorted, and the reserves of brightness and contrast are rather small.

The modest 960x480 pixels resolution, however, seriously increases the performance of the outdated Medaitek MTK6580 CPU. The processor together with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400MP2 videochip adequately copes with the Android Nougat interface and even demanding games. The latter will have to run on minimum graphics settings to avoid slowdowns. The internal storage is allocated only 16GB, so the usage of MicroSD cards will be extremely rational.

The rear pair of 5-megapixel photocameras is suitable for shooting documents. Dynamic objects or light deterioration are reflecting in the quality of the images. The 2-megapixel frontal module also does not cause delight and performs only as the mirror. The battery capacity reached 2200mAh, which, taking into account the energy efficiency of the hardware and optimization of the software, can provide approximately 6 hours of active screen time. As a result, we got at least a cheap and stylish, but quite weak in terms of technical characteristics and the TN-panel device, which has a lot of more balanced competitors.
