Doogee X93 - the smell of antiquity

The Chinese company Dougie seems to have come to terms with the fact that it cannot offer anything new in the price category. The hero of today's review is a frankly outdated model in terms of technical characteristics, which is unlikely to be of interest to most of the market audience.

The appearance of the novelty can be called successful. The budget phone is endowed with a triple photo module and stylish colors of a plastic case, even if the display frames are difficult to count as narrow. The quality of the plastic used is mediocre, it quickly becomes covered with fingerprints and scratches, so wearing a case is recommended. The 6.1-inch IPS display is very basic. With a resolution of 1280 x 600 pixels, you cannot watch HD content on YouTube and other similar services, the brightness and contrast are not bad only when working with the device indoors. Seeing anything in direct sunlight is extremely problematic.

The Mediatek MT 6580 processor is one of the worst solutions to date. Poor energy efficiency and performance, lack of support for 4G networks - an incomplete list of the chipset's disadvantages. Even a lightweight Android 10 Go will sometimes be upset with jams, while only casual two-dimensional games obey the CPU with some exceptions. But the use of at least Helio A22 would radically change the situation. 2GB of RAM and the Mali400 MP2 video accelerator do not correct the situation. 16GB of internal memory is supplemented with a slot for microSD cards , so at least there will be no problems with the amount of ROM.

The main 8- and 2-megapixel (pair) cameras, coupled with a 5-megapixel selfie module, are installed rather to add beauty to the device. With such photosensors it is possible to hope only for capturing text documents, and even then not always from the first take. But the gadget was not without its merits. The 4350mAh battery will have to be charged only once every one and a half to two days. However, the abundance of unforgivable mistakes even for an affordable Android smartphone makes it difficult to recommend the considered device for purchase.
