Doogee X96 Pro Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Doogee X96 Pro Overview
Doogee X96 Pro - controversial in all respects
It seems that the Chinese company Dodge has begun to lose its grip on the production of low-end smartphones. For example, once the X5-series of phones of the manufacturer did not leave any chance to competitors, and now the budget novelties of the developer often cause confusion. So, the hero of today's review will please only with autonomy, and in other aspects it is inferior to many alternatives.
The design of the phablet is not bad, but lacks memorable features. We have seen a similar block of four cameras more than once, the location of the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel is not relevant today. But the 6.52-inch OGS-screen pleases with not the thickest frames, however, the 8-megapixel selfie camera has an outdated form factor. The body itself, although made of plastic, is endowed with beautiful colors, and is not devoid of ergonomics worthy of the dimensions of the device. The IPS display used is rather mediocre. The HD + resolution is poorly suited for the diagonal used, the image fades in direct sunlight, however, under other lighting conditions, the brightness and contrast are sufficient for comfortable work.
Technical characteristics evoke mixed emotions. If the Android smartphone in question is needed exclusively for a more or less smooth Android 11 interface and launching undemanding applications like a browser, then the Unisoc SC9863A processor will suit you. However, the chipset, even with 4GB of RAM and a PowerVR GE8322 video adapter, is not able to provide even the minimum graphics settings in Genshin Impact and Fortnite. It is worth noting that, in fact, in the same price range, models are sold based on more efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 662/665, Mediatek Helio G70 / G80. 64GB of internal storage is allocated, a microSD card slot eliminates potential memory shortages.
Photographic ability matches the price tag of the gadget. Three additional 2-megapixel photomodules are installed for beauty, but the 13-megapixel sensor from Samsung is quite ready to provide high-quality daytime shooting, but one cannot dream of evening photos with acceptable details. But the 5400mAh battery can only be praised. You will have to charge it only once every two or three days. There are no NFC contactless payments, and they could significantly increase the attractiveness of the device. As a result, we have before us an openly passable Android phone, which already has a lot of more interesting opponents.
