Google Pixel 10 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Google Pixel 10 Overview
Google Pixel 10 - a move in its own style
The American company Google is known all over the world not only for its operating or search engines, but also for high-quality smartphones. Initially, the manufacturer positioned its devices as camera phones that have no alternatives in terms of shooting detail. The priority given to photo capabilities is still there, but phones from China and Korea have already managed to catch up, and sometimes even overtake devices from the USA. As a result, the developer decided to focus on design and quality. The hero of today's review does not deviate from these paradigms.
The appearance of the new product is stylish and memorable, although not without flaws. So, the display frames, although reduced, are still visible to the naked eye. But the variety of colors of metal and glass cases, the proprietary block of photo modules, a convenient under-screen fingerprint scanner look relevant and attractive. The 6.3-inch AMOLED display, unfortunately, is not a flagship. The resolution of 2424x1080 pixels is also found in more affordable analogs, with a peak brightness of about 2000 nits, the visibility of the image is slightly reduced in direct sunlight. With the smoothness of the content, everything is fine with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the color rendition is natural, there is an oleophobic layer. But the PWM effect is strong, which will not please people sensitive to it.
The technical characteristics include the latest Tensor G5 CPU, 12 GB of RAM and an IMG DTX video adapter. In terms of performance, the bundle is actually twice as slow as the top solutions from Qualcomm and MediaTek, but 1,400,000 points in the AnTuTu test are enough for smooth and responsive operation of the optimized Android 15 OS. The user will not be left without games either, because the vast majority of resource-intensive projects work stably at medium-high graphics settings. Throttling is observed, but far from critical. Autonomy is not bad, but nothing more. The 4970 mAh battery will provide about a day and a half of interaction with the mobile assistant. But both wired (27W) and wireless (10W) charging are slow compared to those of competitors. The permanent memory can be 128/256 GB, it is highly recommended to purchase the second version.
The main 50-megapixel sensor and 10-megapixel telephoto lens (three-fold optical zoom) manufactured by Samsung received hybrid stabilization and will not disappoint even with photos and videos taken in low light. The abundance of moving objects is also not an obstacle for cameras, there will be little noise and blur in the pictures. But the 13-megapixel wide-angle lens is noticeably simpler and reveals its potential only in daylight. Stereo speakers can boast impressive volume with a relatively flat frequency response. We also note NFC contactless payments, 5G and eSIM support. But we must also remember the high price tag of the device, which will not make it a bestseller in the presence of worthy competitors.
