A corporation as famous all over the world as Google simply cannot function without full-fledged high-tech flagship smartphones. Of course, the manufacturer's range could not do without innovative folding phones. However, the hero of today's review, although it has advanced in many aspects compared to its predecessor, still lags behind many analogues from opponents.

The appearance of the new product is attractive, but at the same time controversial in a number of respects. Thus, the thickness of the glass and metal case when folded is more than a centimeter, the weight exceeds 250 grams, the frames of both screens are not too thin. But at the same time, the beauty of the form factor itself, premium assembly materials with the presence of now real moisture protection according to IP68 standards, a neat branded camera block and nice colors of the phablet evoke positive emotions. Both the main 8-inch (2152 x 2076 pixels) and the additional 6.4-inch (2364x1080 pixels) AMOLED displays have excellent image clarity, smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an impressive brightness reserve. The oleophobic coating is amazing, but the developer decided not to fight the PWM effect for some reason.

The technical specifications are rather disappointing. The Tensor G5 CPU and 16 GB of RAM score about one and a half million points in the AnTuTu test and are noticeably inferior in performance to top solutions from Qualcomm and MediaTek. Of course, you can play all modern games, but for a stable frame rate you will have to set medium-high graphics presets. The Android 15 interface is smooth, without lags. But the autonomy is mediocre, the 5015 mAh battery lasts about a day. Wired charging is ridiculously powerful for a flagship (30W), but there is a wireless alternative. The permanent memory is 256/512/1024 GB.

Photographic capabilities are excellent. The main 48-megapixel module and 10-megapixel telephoto lens with five-fold optical zoom are equipped with hybrid stabilization, allowing you to get much more detailed photos and videos in poor lighting conditions or increased dynamics of events. They did not skimp on stereo sound either. There is volume, bass, and good volume. Contactless NFC payment, 5G and eSIM support, a side fingerprint scanner add to the list of advantages of the device. However, only true fans of the brand will be able to forgive such an expensive device for all its shortcomings.
