Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Overview
Google Pixel 10 Pro XL - Expensive, but not too rich?
Every self-respecting smartphone manufacturer is not averse to releasing the ultimate technological flagship that shows the full potential of the developer. The American company Google also has such a desire, but the impressions of its newest representative of the highest price category are quite mixed.
The appearance of the new product is more than attractive, but not without flaws. The main one is not the thinnest display frames. The metal frame of the case with moisture protection according to IP68 standards, a pleasant to the touch glass back panel with a variety of colors, a proprietary block of photo modules favorably distinguish the exterior of the device from its opponents. The 6.8-inch AMOLED screen unpleasantly surprises with the presence of a pronounced PWM effect. People sensitive to it will clearly be upset. Otherwise, the AMOLED panel is good. The resolution of 2992x1344 pixels is enough for a clear picture, not deprived of smoothness at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The color rendition is realistic, the peak brightness reaches a not shameful 3000 nits. Of course, there is also an oleophobic coating.
The technical characteristics are the Tensor G5 CPU, 16 GB of RAM and the Mali G715MC7 video core. Unfortunately, this is far from the best solution, delivering performance at the level of the mid-budget MediaTek Dimensity 8400. Of course, the optimized Android 15 works without visible lags, it is even possible to try out all modern games, but the graphics settings will need to be turned up to medium-high values. There is throttling, but not particularly noticeable. The battery capacity has grown to 5200 mAh compared to the "regular" model, but due to the screen diagonal there is no increase in autonomy. The output is the same eight hours of active screen time. The power of the wired charging is mediocre (39 W), but not terrible, there is a wireless analogue of 23 W. The constant memory is allocated 256/512/1024 GB.
What is definitely not complained about is the photo capabilities. The main large 50-megapixel Samsung photosensor and 48-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with five-fold optical zoom have hybrid stabilization and amaze with fantastically detailed photos and videos even in 8K resolution. It is a pity that the wide-angle 48 MP sensor does not have OIS. Still, noise is visible in the evening shots taken with it. The stereo sound is loud, high-quality and rich. NFC contactless payments, 5G support and eSIM are also in place. However, with the price tag requested by the corporation, it is unlikely that you can forgive the device for its low-performance processor and the flaws of the AMOLED display.
