Google Pixel 7 Review: specs and features, camera quality test, gaming benchmark, user opinions and photos
Google Pixel 7 Overview
Google Pixel 7 - getting rid of flaws
The sixth generation of flagship Android smartphones from Google turned out to be quite controversial due to a combination of not the most humane pricing policy of the manufacturer, as well as problems with throttling in the proprietary chipset, and minor design flaws. However, feedback from users and critics, as well as not particularly impressive sales, only spurred the corporation to correct its mistakes.
The appearance of the novelty has been significantly improved. The frames have decreased around the entire perimeter of the screen, now it is more convenient to work with a compact device. The design of the two cameras has remained almost the same, fans of the brand are familiar with the colors of the metal and glass body. An under-screen fingerprint scanner and a 10.8-megapixel front camera at the top of the display transform the exterior of an Android smartphone. The 6.3-inch AMOLED screen itself has also improved. There are several reasons for this, namely the increased brightness, the refresh rate of the picture brought to 90Hz. The AMOLED display also deserved praise, such as contrast ratio, 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, high-quality oleophobic coating.
This time, the latest Tensor G2 CPU, 8GB RAM and Mali G710MC10 GPU are selected as the technical specifications. The bundle is noticeably more stable in performance and even after two or three hours of gaming sessions it does not upset overheating. Gamers will love the smoothness of Genshin Impact, while others will love the speed at which their favorite apps launch. The energy-efficient processor is assisted by a pair of batteries with a total capacity of 4355 mAh, so you don’t have to recharge your mobile assistant throughout the day of active use. The expansion of internal memory is not provided, therefore, among the versions with 128/256GB of ROM, it is advisable to choose the second one.
50 and 12-megapixel photomodules have got even more optimized software and a well-developed hybrid stabilization system, so there will be no difficulties in creating high-quality images. Even the deterioration of lighting will not be a serious obstacle to detailing and natural color reproduction of the frame, there are no jerks and ghosting in the resulting 4K videos. Volumetric and rich stereo sound, wireless charging, support for 5G frequencies, and even good protection against dust and moisture according to IP68 standards help to perceive the device as a full-fledged flagship without obvious disadvantages.
