HOMTOM HT27 - a style and nothing else?
A good design of the smartphone is one of the main indicators of its potential success. However, the developer should not forget about other qualities of a modern "smart" phone. The hero of this review can not be called tech and especially innovative, but with the appearance it hasn't any problems. But is it enough for the conquest of the audience?
Dual LED-flash, a nice looking fingerprint scanner, a stylish pseudometallic edging of a thin and ergonomic housing offer the opportunity to attribute the novelty to the year's most beautiful budget phones. A display with a diagonal of 5 and a half inches will not disappoint the user by brightness and contrast settings. Resolution in 1280 by 720 pixels is standard for the given price range and maintains clarity of pictures and relatively low power consumption of the IPS-panel.
However the bunch of the Mediatek MT6580 processor, 1GB of RAM and the Mali400-MP2 adapter is a big fly in the ointment. Its performance, though is sufficient for simple games in terms of graphics and other applications, but doesn't have a reserve for the future. And some lags of Android 6.0 interface will sometimes be visible. 8GB of ROM nowadays is not enough almost for the most unpretentious owner of the gadget, but this omission is compensated by a MicroSD-card slot.
Savings can not be traced in used photomodules. 8 and 5-megapixel cameras take maybe not perfect, but still good pictures with a little noise. But the advantages of the device does not stop. The 3000mAh battery, support for 3G and high-quality speaker still allow us to recommend the purchase of a device to anyone and everyone, except for gamers. Unfortunately, the gaming potential of the unit is very limited.
